Festival for the Eno in Durham

Enjoy the legendary Eno Fest at West Point on the Eno River City Park in Durham. This year’s festival will be held on the Eno River on July 2nd and July 4th. There will be live music, a craft show, and food and fun on the river!

Chapel Hill’s 4th of July Fireworks Celebration

Check out fireworks in Chapel Hill at Southern Community Park on Monday, July 4th. Bring your blankets and chairs to celebrate Independence Day in The Triangle. Parking opens at 7 p.m. with fireworks scheduled to start around 9 p.m.

City of Raleigh 4th of July Fireworks Show

The city of Raleigh will hold its fireworks show at Dix Park on Monday, July 4th. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the fireworks being set off at 9:30 p.m. Before the fireworks, enjoy live music from the DJ stage as well as games like Giant Connect 4 and cornhole.

Fireworks after Durham Bulls Game

Durham is celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks after the Durham Bulls game on July 4th. The event is scheduled to start at 6:05 and the fireworks will begin at about 9:15 p.m.

Children’s Independence Day Parade in Durham

If you’re in the Durham area on July 4th, you’ll also want to take the kids to the Children’s Independence Day Parade in the morning. It kicks off at 9 a.m. at Durham Central Park. Kids can decorate bikes, trikes, wagons, and scooters before they participate in the parade. They can also tour fire trucks and ambulances. The event is free and there will even be free popsicles for the kids!

Pork, Pickles, & Peanuts in Durham

The Duke Homestead State Historic Site is the place to be on Saturday, July 23rd. That’s where the Pork, Pickles, & Peanuts summer event is kicking off. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., celebrate the food and history of North Carolina. It includes BBQ and pie contests as well as cooking demonstrations, live music, and local vendors. It’s a free event, so bring the entire family down.

Durham Night Market

Durham Night Market returns to the American Tobacco Campus. It’s held on the last Thursday of the month. So for the summer, mark your calendar for June 23rd, July 28th, and August 25th. The night market is full of live music, entertainment, and local area artisans from The Triangle. There is also food and drinks available. Durham Night Market is held from 5-9 p.m.

Jazz on the Roof at the Durham Hotel

Calling all jazz lovers! If you’re looking for summer events that are full of music, you don’t want to miss Al Strong Presents Jazz on the Roof at the Durham Hotel. Al Strong is a two-time Grammy-nominated artist who brings his regional jazz artists to improvise on the roof each month.

The event is held on the 4th Thursday of the month through September 22nd. The music runs from 7-9:30 p.m. Locals are invited to bring their instruments and join in the fun. Space on the roof is first-come, first-served. It opens at 5 p.m.

Galaxy Con in Downtown Raleigh

If you love pop culture, gaming, fantasy, comic books, and more, be sure to check out Galaxy Con at the Raleigh Convention Center from July 28-31st.
