Q&A: Can You Help Me Unload My Scrap Metal?
Did you know that more than 150 million metric tons of scrap metal are recycled in the United States every year? Scrap metal is one of the easiest to recycle because it can be reused and made into new materials.
Wall Recycling does its part by providing several scrap metal recycling centers throughout Eastern North Carolina to make it easy to drop off your scrap metal. They are located in:
We offer the best prices per pound so that you can earn some extra money on the metal you no longer need. If you have scrap metal you’re looking to recycle, we have some information to make the process easier.
Q: Are there people at each location to help unload scrap metal?
A: Yes, our five locations have staff on hand to help you unload your scrap metal. At Wall Recycling, we always welcome your scrap metal and look forward to helping you.
If the pile of metal you have is too large to load into your car or trailer, we can also arrange to have a receptacle delivered to you and you can load the metal into it which we will then pick up and haul away for you.
Q: How does that work?
A: When you drop off your scrap metal, our staff members will safely unload it and weigh it. This will let us determine how much money you will get for recycling your scrap metal.
Q: Does having help unloading scrap metal cost extra?
A: No, there is no extra cost for our staff to unload the scrap metal you drop off.
Q: If there is no one to help me unload my scrap metal, what should I do?
A: When our recycling centers are open, there is always a staff member there to help you. If we are busy helping other customers, you may have to wait a bit, but we will certainly get to help you unload your scrap metal.
Q: Are there differences for each scrap yard location?
A: All five recycling center locations accept the following metals:
- Steel
- Copper
- Aluminum
Cardboard, plastics, computers, and electronics are also accepted at all five locations. The only difference is that wood is only accepted at the Goldsboro location.
Q: Is there anything else customers should know about unloading scrap metal?
A: When you drop off your scrap metal at any of our five locations, Wall Recycling is fully equipped to help you with your LEED program. When you drop off your metal, we can provide you with accurate data about what we processed. We can also divide this information up into the types of materials that you dropped off.
